"Optophobia: The Fear of Opening One's Eyes". A conceptual piece illustrating a phobia. After deciding upon an intriguing phobia, the image content was developed in a series of sketches, then I photographed a model and created the final painting using this reference. This is one of my all-time favorite paintings.
